Report from Eldey: Today we woke u to warm and sunny skies but a strong northeasterly breeze and a fair bit of swell. Regardless we ventured out and after a long search we found a pod of 3 white-beaked dolphins. They were quite curious and came close by our boat, inspecting us for a bit. Eventually they moved on though and so did we. Sadly, nothing else was around for us to be found and eventually we had to turn back, leaving us to hand complementary tickets to our passengers, giving them another shot at encountering the whales!

Report from Hafsúlan: We headed out under beaming sunshine, but the cold wind kept us nice and cool in our cozy overalls. The waves gave us quite a ride, with the front of the boat feeling like a rollercoaster, so we braced ourselves and marched on. We got to see all the beautiful landmarks around us, as visibility was divine, so we admired Snæfellsnes, Rekjanes, and the gorgeous mountains around. We searched for signs of cetaceans while admiring the seabirds around us, most notable of which were the Atlantic puffins. Unfortunately, our search came up empty, as not a single cetacean was to be seen on our tour, we headed over to Lundey to admire the Atlantic puffins, before handing out complimentary tickets, so that our lovely passengers may come back to see the bay in all its glory another day.

Report from Eldey: The seas were relatively rough today, so we sailed out into a rocky Faxaflói in search of whales this afternoon. Passing the beautiful landscape with mount Esja and Akrafjall on our starboard, we sailed North, but were unlucky in our endeavours. On our way back we turned with the waves and with the sun shining on us, but didn´t find any cetaceans swimming around there either. We gave out complimentary tickets to everyone for a second chance of seeing the whales.

Report from Elding: The swell had picked up slightly as we made our way out to Faxaflói once again, with the sunshine in our faces! We were greeted by many different species of birds as we sailed along our way, but the highlight was definitely the charismatic Atlantic puffin. As we entered deeper water, the wind carried the splash of the boat higher, turning the front of each deck into a splash zone, much to the thrill of passengers standing there! After a while of searching, we turned around and started to slowly make our way back to harbour. Sadly, we were not graced with a view of the oceans gentle giants today so we offered our passengers complementary tickets to try again for free. Despite the lack of whales, we enjoyed a nice, sunny sail back home!

Report from Eldey: The swell had picked up once more but so had the heat from the summer sun. We ventured out one last time today, we searched far and wide, exploring all nooks and crannies, even the beautiful Hvalfjörður. The trip was scenic for sure but the absence of wildlife stuck out like a sore thumb. We all ventured bravely, enduring the choppy ocean but in the end our efforts ended up unrewarded and so we had to return empty handed once more, leaving us to hand out complementary tickets once more.
