Report from Eldey: We had a sunny morning today as we set out to sea. The waves were choppy and the ship rolled a little bit, but luckily, most of our passengers had already taken our free sea sickness tablets, available onboard, which helped with the situation. We searched for quite a while, taking about one and a half hour to make a sighting. But it was all worth it, when we saw a humpback whale. This whale was travelling alone, performing short surface sequences, where it would breath a few times before heading down for a deeper dive. We got to see the individual a few times, before it went for a long dive, showing us it's beautiful tail, which then slowly disappeared into the sea. We then left it be and returned to Reykjavík, with a sunny and pleasant background  .

Report from Hafsúlan: After a whole day of cancellations yesterday, we were excited to head out today. The sun was out too, we were so happy to enjoy the sunshine. So, when we went out. The first ten minutes were chill. Then, we entered a wind funnel that was all over the bay. This was when the ocean adventure started. The waves were waving, the swell was swelling. Everybody was holding on. As we were cruising, we spotted Atlantic puffins. There was also more seabirds that were soaring, flying like there was not a wind they couldn't catch. Around half-way through the trip, we had a very observant passenger spot a whale nearby. It surfaced two or three times and then disappeared. It was most likely an elusive minke whale, but not everybody managed to see it. So, we carried on to search for more wildlife. The conditions made it very tricky, but we had sharp-eyed people on board. We found two humpback whales!! After over two hours of battling the rough seas, we were incredibly excited about this encounter. We were spoilt with some incredible views. It turned out we were watching a female with a juvenile. This is incredibly rare to observe in cold water feeding areas for this species. To top it all off, the juvenile decided to breach. Not once, but THREE times!! It did it beautifully and for everybody to see. We were beyond excited! After this, we heeded home, because we ran out of time, but let's be honest, it doesn't get much better than this!

Report from Eldey: We left the harbour with sunny beautiful skies but wind that progressively picked up. We had our first sighting quite early on the tour, two beautiful humpback whales one adult and one very very young individual. We stayed with them for quite some time, occasionally they came close to the boat and we got to see their entire body through the water, which was so special. We decided to leave the area and give the whales some peace. As we were heading towards Reykjavik we encountered a minke whale that we were able to watch for quite some time. Everybody went home with big smiles and more knowledge about these fantastic creatures!

Report from Eldey: We headed out today into a bit of wind, but thankfully the sun was shining, making for a beautiful day on the water. After some searching, we finally spotted the telltale blow of a humpback whale. We got to see it a few times at close range, which was a fantastic start to the trip. Since there was already another boat in the area, we decided to venture off and look for another whale. Not long after, we found another humpback feeding nearby. This one had an especially striking, very white tail that made it easy to recognise as it surfaced and dove again. In the same area, we also came across a juvenile humpback. It seemed as though it had only recently separated from its mother and was beginning to take its first steps into life on its own. Watching this young whale surface and explore the waters by itself felt like a particularly special moment. A windy, sunny day, with several humpbacks and one young whale beginning its journey alone — definitely a day to remember out on the water.

Report from Hafsulan: We sailed out under clear skies and calm seas crossing between the tow main breeding islands of the Atlantic puffins. The show started really early on our tour with a humpback whale that was few hundred meters away from Grotta lighthouse. We started our tour full of exactment with our fist find thought soon we understood  that was another humpback whale les than 500 meters away. We stayed with them for quite some time more with the one that we found last. It was actively feeding with lots of birds present trying to take advantage of the situation. This whale was coming up at the surface really often and with lots of speed always surprising us many times close to our boat. On our way back we had an amazing sunset through the hole journey and  another humpback whale that was cruising with us that made our tour even better.
