Report from Elday: They day started with some clouds present and quite a lot of wind. Thought the sea state was better than what we thought because the wind was coming from the land so the seas were actually calm.  After travelling for a while, we kept our eyes on the horizon, waiting for that first sign of life. And then… a blow! A familiar humpback whale was in the area: Harbour Master. Easy to recognize it because of its unique tail. This juvenile individual gave us several beautiful moments at the surface. As other boats started to arrive at the area, we left this individual avoiding to disturbance it too much. We continued sailing further out at Faxafloi Bay until we found a minke whale that stayed with us for quite some time even surprised us by surfacing few meters away of our boat. After this beautiful encounter we changed course to go closer to coast. We were really lucky by finding another Humpback whale noticeably bigger that the previous one that was staying for long time at the surface of the water and being really slow and gentle. Soon we understood that this individual was resting. We admired it for quite a bit and we left this individual to enjoy its little nap and we started our way back to our port.

Report from Eldey : In the afternoon, the wind remained strong, and the sky was still very overcast. But the sea allowed us to sail one more time, searching the bay again for our beloved cetaceans.After not even half an hour of sailing, we spotted our first blow, far, far away from us. On our way towards that blow, another whale crossed our path, surprising us. It was the same whale we had seen that morning, the fantastic Harbour Master, a juvenile humpback whale.This curious juvenile appeared at the surface very close to our boat, once even swimming straight in front of our bow. We spent several minutes with this individual before leaving and heading towards the previous blow we had spotted.It was a second humpback whale, this time a bigger individual that was spending more time underwater. We patiently waited, and the wait was worth it, because this second whale also appeared very close to us. And, just before the last time it disappeared, we managed to take the perfect picture of its tail.We continued sailing west, and just when we were heading back to the harbour, a minke whale appeared in our backwash. So, we changed our position and tried to see this new species again. And voilà! A very nice minke whale was feeding in the area. With a smile on every passenger's face, we finished our fantastic adventure at sea. Another incredible day!
