  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00, 13:00
  • PREMIUM WHALE TOUR | 09:00, 12:00, 15:00

Today's Whale Watching tours from Reykjavík are on schedule! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: We sailed out in a little choppy seas and windy conditions, but the sun was shining for most of the tour. As we sailed around we heard that another boat had found a humpback whale, so we decided to head over and check it out. It was a really nice individual, showing us it´s fluke a lot of times, also lifting it up high out of the water. After a while we left it, so we don´t spent to much time with it. Unfortunately we couldn´t find anything else, so we enjoyed the landscape of Faxafloi Bay and the had a little stop by at the humpback whale on our way back to the harbour. :)

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: The weather was sunny, the sea quite calm and the wind calmed down a little bit. A nice day to be outside. We went to the same spot we saw a whale on the earlier tour and bingo there humpback whale was! He came up often and also surfaced very close to our boat. We could see his pectoral fins shining through the water surface and see his silhouette. We stayed together for a bit but eventually headed further out into the bay as we were still surprisingly close to land! On the way out we saw a small pod of 4 harbour porpoises and 3 minke whales! Both species were quite shy. We did spot 2 more blows but both only appeared and then disappeared. When time was up we did have to start our return journey and saw one more humpback on the way home!
