NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Eldey: Tonight we were expecting a Kp index of 2-3, which is already good enough to see lights in Iceland! The sky was cloudy with a few gaps as we started sailing out in the direction of the islands next to the shore of Reykjavik, where we saw its beautiful skyline. Getting closer to Viðey island, we got attracted by the light beams of the Imagine Peace Tower. We went to check it out while waiting for more gaps in the sky and the dancing lights to appear! Then, we went more far out to get rid of the light pollution around and we started seeing some green through the clouds! There were faint Northern lights in the sky! This lasted a few minutes and vanished, but we were hopeful. Unfortunately, the light never reappeared and the clouds closed all the remaining gaps so we offered complimentary tickets to all our passengers to try their luck again.
