CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: The overcast conditions this morning did not hinder us to go out and as soon as we left the harbor we spotted at minke whale that was in search of fish. Hmmmm... minke! After a while a second, much larger minke whale appeared and circleled our boat together with the smaller one. We spend some time observing these fast and elegant animals before heading further out see if we could find other whales but the high swell convinced us to continue our search in between the islands. A good choice as it turned out as we spotted the big blow of a humpback whale next to the shore hiding in between the islands! This one was actively feeding, changing directions a lot. Right next to it a harbour seal was also feeding, but started looking at us very curious when we arrived to the area. We took a better look at the humpback and we got... Banana, beloved winter whale! We saw this one a few more times before we had to head back to the harbour, since we were running out of time.
