Report from Elding II: The Puffins that were around Akurey this time flew quietly around the island, after we left the island a long search for the whales began. But it was worth the while watching the beautiful sun sit down and the burning sky and then all of a sudden we were surrounded by Minke Whales. They were spread over a large area but we were able to follow two of them for a while and several times they came only 5 meters away from the boat. Great trip to end a good day.

Report from Hafúlan: We sailed out in a mirror flat sea and sunny weather which was enough to make this tour amazing! We got a call from another boat telling us they had some dolphins but when we got there, we didn't found them again. Instead we found around 6 Minke Whales surfacing all around us. They were very relaxed, coming up and down slowly probably because of all the surface feeding over the whole day. Some came extremely close which is always nice to see. On the way back we took a stop at the puffin island Lundey and saw couple of puffins.

Report from Elding: We decided to check out Lundey this time. It was rather quiet on the island, few Puffins flying around, some Black-Guillemots and Kittiwakes. Out on Faxaflói bay we then got back to the area we were at on the 10 o'clock tour. This time there were not many Gannets around but there were few different flocks of feeding birds and so many Minke Whales. They were spread over a large area but some of them came pretty close to the boat and few even rolled right below the feeding birds, so amazing. Tour at 13:00 This afternoon tour was almost copy paste form the 09:00 tour. Many puffins at Lundey and lots of busy, feeding minke whales turning up the pink-white belly. Surface feeding all around so it was difficult to decide where to look. Again amazing tour.

Report from Elding: First stop this morning was Akurey. It's getting more quiet there these days but we were still able the see quite many Puffins flying there even though we didn't see any on the island itself. Out on the bay we first spotted a Minke Whale and close by there were many Gannets diving for some fish and around them were many more Minke Whales some surfacing very close to the boat. Later on we then spotted a pod of White-beaked Dolphins busy feeding there among the Gannets and some dolphins kept leaping out of the water.

The weather was nice when we headed out this morning. Lundey, the puffin colony was our first stop and there we saw lots of puffins. Out in the bay we found a food area with lots of diving Gannets and many minke whales. Some of them came very close to the boat, 5-10 meters and they were very busy feeding, rolling in the surface so we could see the white-pink belly and some times surface feeding. Absolutely amazing show. One harbour porpoise showed up three times before disappearing again. Fantastic tour
