Tour at 20:30
We sailed straight out to Faxaflói bay in a beautiful and calm weather. Soon we spotted a nice group of harbour porpoises, surfacing very close to the boat before they disappeared. After a while we spotted our first blow from a minke whale, we didn't see him though so we headed on. Than we saw another minke whale surfacing and after a while we were looking at, at least 10 minke whales. Surfacing both very close to the boat and further away. It was very beautiful in the sunset and we could clearly hear the blow, and we had a lot of birds around us as well. On the way home we spotted a jumping white beaked dolphin in the distance and as we came closer they surfaced very close to us and under the boat. About 20 white beaked dolphins. On the way home we visited the puffins at Akurey. Amazing tour in an absolutely beautiful sunset.
Tour at 17:00
The weather was amazing today this afternoon. The sea was quite calm and so we spotted our first two Minke Whales this tour quite early. We saw this whales surfacing a few times and once also really close to the boat just 20 meters away. After that it was a bit difficult to spot the whales. We saw some Minke Whales again later this tour but further out and only surfacing once. At the end of the tour we went to Akurey the puffin island and spotted a lot of puffins before we went back to the harbour.

We had a lot of fun on the tour this afternoon. At Akurey we spotted lots of puffins and out in the bay many minke whales showed up close to our boat. Some of them were surfacing many times slowly with the pointed beek first. One was even rolling so we could see the white belly clearly under the surface. And of coarse the beautiful weather. Wonderful tour.

The morning tour was fantastic. Calm sea and sunny. At Akurey we visited the cute little puffins and out in the bay we spotted many minke whales and a small pod of harbour porpoises. The porpoises came very close, swimming beside and under the boat so we could see them very clearly. Most of the minke whales were also very nice to us and one came only 5 meters in front and again behind us. At least 4-5 minke whales were in the area. So very nice tour.
