Tour at 13:00
The whale watching tour at 13:00 has been cancelled due to storm and unfavourable conditions on the bay.
Tour at 9:00 Not the best whale watching weather. Strong winds from the North East made the tour like a roller coaster, fun for those that like rough weather. We started at Puffin Island but unfortunately no Puffins were home. It was smooth sailing out into Faxaflói with the wind behind us and it didn't take us long to see our first Minke Whale. There must have been at least 2 or 3 others in the area but we saw only one at a time surfacing fast and riding the swells. The Gannets were also quite numerous performing their amazing high dives into the sea for food. Despite the weather, a good tour.
