The whale watching tour at 13:00 has been cancelled due to storm and unfavourable conditions on the bay.
Tour at 09:00
We sailed out in a windy weather, it was cold but still very sunny. We stopped at Akurey, were we only saw 3 puffins, but we saw few of them when we were searching for the whales. Soon after we headed out to Faxaflói we saw a harbour porpoise but it only surfaced once, but later on the tour we saw few more, they came very close to the boat and it was awesome to see them so clearly under the water. After a while we spotted our first minke whale, it surfaced 4 times before taking off, than we found 2 other minke whales and we were able to take a good look at them before our time ran out and we had to turn back to the harbour.
