Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We had a very windy day today. We sailed out from Reykjavík and kept close to Reykjanes peninsula on the way out, while we sailed out on the bay we traveled with the wind so it was very comfortable. We could watch some birds flying around us, mainly black headed gulls, eider ducks and northern gannets. We sailed further off shore to expand our search area, when we sailed back to Reykjavík we headed into the waves so our journey got rockier. Once again we were saddened that no cetaceans were seen on our tour but this is just nature and there is no way to change that. We handed out complimentary tickets to our passengers and hope that most of them will be able to return for another tour.

Birds seen on today's tour: black-backed gull, herring gull, iceland gull, glaucous gull, northern gannet, northern fulmar,  european shag,  kittiwake, common guillemot, and eider duck.
