Tour at 13:00
Report from Hafsúlan: Following on from the morning tour would always have been a difficult thing to accomplish, in the afternoon we found two different species. And they were the two species that give us the most entertaining tours, the White-Beaked Dolphins and a Humpback Whale. We found many dolphins throughout the tour, over the afternoon we saw around 20-25 dolphins. At the end of the tour a group of 7-10 were playing around our boat, swimming under us and jumping around the boat. The humpback wasn´t as fun though, we only saw it surface once before it dived and disappeared but at least it gave us one big raise of the fluke! We didn´t find the energetic humpbacks from the morning but that shows how unpredictable wildlife can be, and that´s just how we like it!

Report from Hafsúlan: This was a tour with a fantastic beginning and an ever better ending, as soon as we left the harbour we were greeted by a large pod of White-Beaked Dolphins of around 30-40 individuals, they were extremely calm around us and were happy to swim beside the boat. We go to spend around 20 minutes sailnig beside these fantastic dolphins before we moved on to find something else. In the middle part of the tour we did manage to find two more species, both a Minke Whale and around 5-9 Harbour Porpoises made an appearance but it was quite brief. While searching for the minke we spotted a big blow further away. We found ourselves a pair of Humpback Whales! These two were just travelling slowly for a while before they found what they were looking for, food! Then the fun really began, both the whales were open mouth lunge feeding together! To see them doing it at the same time was such a rare and brilliant sight! By this time we were already a little late but it was a goodbye that couldn´t have been much better.
