Report from Hafsúlan: We started our afternoon trip with lots of confidence that we would find many cetaceans again, as we did on the morning tour. And indeed we did. Searching the the main sighting area from this morning for a short while resulted in several encounters with minke whales as well as harbour porpoises. Especially the first whale we spotted seemed to be rather calm and barely disturbed by the two whale watching boats following it, which gave us lots of opportunities for great pictures. Just before we had to start our journey back to the harbour in Reykjavik we encountered a well known and often sighted minke whale, Humpy.

Report from Hafsúlan: On this very beautiful and sunny morning we went out in search of cetaceans with our boat Hafsúlan. We traveled west right away into the area where we had some sightings the day before. The weather and calm water conditions were perfect for spotting them again. It didn't take long until we were surrounded by minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises. Several encounters, with those amazing animals made this a perfect morning. We even detected two minke whales traveling together which is not very common. In the end we went a bit further west until we had to go back to Reykjavik. Our luck continued and we encountered another minke whale on our way back to the harbour.
