Report from Hafsúlan: While leaving the harbour again in the afternoon we were very optimistic to find some of the cetacean we encountered in the morning tour. After reaching the same area it took only a short time until we spotted the first minke whale. We followed it for a while in a none disturbing way, until we moved on looking for other individuals. Our search was cut short by encountering several minke whales and a harbour porpoise in the next 2 hours, two whales were even found together. Already late, we traveled back to the harbour. Just when everyone started packing up, another minke whale appeared just in front of the harbour. This is a very rare sight, seeing an animal this close to land. Overall a very incredible trip.

Report from Hafsúlan: On this incredibly beautiful and sunny morning we went out from Reykjaviks harbour in search for cetaceans. We traveled west right away, towards the area we had several encounters the days before. It didn't take long until we spotted a minke whale. This individual was especially great because it barely dove down, which gave us lots of opportunities for pictures. After this special experience we spotted several other cetaceans, harbour porpoises and more minke whales. On our way back one animal just appeared in front of the boat, giving us a last look on a minke whale for this morning.
