Report from Hafsúlan: This afternoon we were traveling in the same area as we did on the morning tour, where we encountered a minke whale. The weather got worse in the afternoon. The wind speed was increasing throughout the tour, but a high number of passengers were using the warm flotation overalls we offer on board, which kept them warm and cozy. At some point we spotted part of a fin in front of the boat, followed by a minke whale surfacing very close, about 20 meters away from the boat a few minutes later. Unfortunately this was the only and last encounter we had on the tour, this is why we offered complimentary tickets to our passengers, valid for two years.

Report from Hafsúlan: On this cloudy morning we went out from the Reykjavik harbour in search of cetaceans. During our travels we encountered one harbour porpoise passing by very quickly. It didn´t take long until we spotted at least one minke whale further out in the Márfló area. We followed this very beautiful individual for the rest of our trip, since it didn´t travel far. While it was feeding we also saw several flocks of birds feeding on the same fish. It didn´t appear to be disturbed by our presence. At some point we had to leave the animal behind and turn back home.
