Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: The weather was very much the same this afternoon, blustery but a relatively smooth sailing. We tried a new area than this morning, searched more towards the south. We were successful to spot a pod of white-beaked dolphins, 2-3 individuals and one minke whale once. Both the white-beaked dolphins and minke was very elusive and very difficult to show our passengers but we enjoyed the gannets plounging into the sea. We then got word from another whale watching vessel about more interactive dolphins. Once arriving they started to leap into the air and body slam the surface, creating huge splashes, then the started to bow ride and play under and around the boat. They soon starting chasing after some fish and it was hard to keep up with them. We left them to their feeding and started to head home. On the way home we saw another pod of 3-4 individuals but did not spend long with them. Unfortunately the minkes were difficult, most likely due to amount of mackrel in the bay competing with them for the sandeels.

Report from Eldey: It was a little blustery this morning but we did not feel it so much on the way out. The skies we beautiful and dynamic with a nice orange warmth to it. The sun´s rays fighting through the dark clouds. We saw three pods of white-beaked dolphins this morning with about 10 dolphins in total and two pods of harbour porpoises, 10-13 in the first and 3-5 in the second. The gannets were glorious as they soured in the colourful sky and seagulls and fulmars were also plentiful. A chilly but beautiful morning on the bay.
