Report from Eldey: Another humpback day at Grindavík! We have been getting more luck wit animals at Grindavík than in Reykjavík so we sailed again from there. It was absolutly freezing but the sea conditions were almost perfect. We soon saw a blow in distance and when we got closer to it we saw two humpback whales traveling together. They went for a dive and when we saw them again they were three that surfaced close to each other. They all spent a long time underwater between surfacing but we got a really good look at them on the tour. At least twice they appeared all out of sudden within 100 meters and swam towards us and went under the boat. We also got to see one of them tail slapping making a big splash. We knew there were more whales in the area because few times we also spotted blows much further out. This was definitely one of our the best tours this winter.
