Status: RUNNING

Today we are sailing out from Hafnarfjörður. We expect wind from the south between 8 and 12 m/s and some swells.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: Today's tour started in Hafnarfjörður and we started sailing west along the Reykjanes Peninsula. We could sail with the wind and since there was barely any swell, it was very comfortable  out in the bay. However, a lot of white-caps around us were the results of the strong winds we have had the last couple of days. Searching for any signs of cetaceans all around us, we puttered along in the company of northern gannets and fulmars. After we made a turn we got the wind in our faces and then the weather got worse quickly reminding us of the storm that we expect for tonight. Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales or dolphins on this tour, but passengers still seemed to have a lot of fun standing outside in strong winds and heavy rain that turned into sleet after a while. Welcome to Iceland in January! Since we were unlucky to spot cetaceans, we offered all our passengers a return ticket valid for the next two years. I hope to see most of you back on board with us!
