Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: Todays tour started out with quite some swell. We sailed out from Hafnarfjörður for better seas but even so the boat rocked a lot as we headed out. We sailed along Reykjanes peninsula and on our way west we ran into a pod of White beaked dolphins. They were roughly 5 together and at least one of them was a calf. After a short stop with the dolphins we continued our sailing. At this point the sea had calmed down a little even though the wind was increasing. We sailed through hail and wind for a short while until we reached Keflavík. There the sea was calm and it was less windy. That is also where we found our Humpback Whale! We are not sure if we saw one or two in the beginning but we stayed with one for a while. It surfaced very close to the boat and we could hear the blows numerous times. After the humpback waved us goodbye before going down for a deep dive we sailed back to Hafnarfjörður. It was a cold but a truly lovely day.
