We are sailing out from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik on a beautiful day. The sun is shining and little wind.
Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: Sunny afternoon in Faxafloi during todays tour. The wind was strong coming from the North East and also the breeze from the whale fjord bringing with it big swell, but we managed to make the sail out of the Bay very fun. The sun was heating us during the whole tour which helped a lot in the while time that we were searching for the cetaceans to come up. We finally spotted a couple of white beaked dolphins which there were swimming around the boat. The water was quiet clear too so we could see the animals thought the surface while they were moving around the boat. Later on we were coming back to the harbour when we came across two minke whales which they were few meters apart from each other, swimming in different directions. We could see the individuals several times breathing at the surface before they went for a deep dive, but we could take a good look to the backs of the minkes and also the blow of one of the animals. Unfortunately the weather was getting worst and we had to cancel the last tour, but the way back we did have fun with the waves and the sun!

Tour at 09:00
Report from Eldey: It was very rough in the Bay this morning and quite a few people had a green face during our journey. However, the others enjoyed the fun movements of the boat a lot and the fresh wind in their faces. There were white-caps everywhere around us making it very hard to spot any possible signs of cetaceans. Unfortunately, we didn't see any of out dolphins or whales and, therefore, we handed out complimentary tickets to all our passengers. These tickets are valid for the next two years for any other whale watching tour with us either in Reykjavík or in Akureyri!
