We went on the 9 am tour and there was a lot of swell so we have cancelled the tour at 1 pm due to strong winds.
We are going for our whale watching tours today from the old harbor in Reykjavik. This morning is relatively cloudy and a little bit of wind that is supposed to pick-up more along the day. Report from Eldey: We had a bit of swell at the beginning of the tour and especially towards the end. However, the sailing went very well. In fact, Jón, our captain today, did a great job by sailing carefully with the wind and trying to avoid the waves coming from the side. We also covered a big area in the bay despite the weather conditions. Unfortunately, we could not see any cetaceans today so we gave away complimentary tickets so, our passengers today can come back with us on a tour for free within 2 years. I am looking forward to seeing the passengers we had today again on one of our future tours. It´s always worthy to give it another shot!
