Tour status at 9 am and 1 pm: Running

We are sailing out from Old Harbour in Reykjavík today. Our rough sea signs are up so we can expect some movement on the boat. Wind is SE 10-12 m/s, 9°C.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: The sea conditions became a lot nicer through the whole tour but the weather kept on being hard on us. In the middle of the fog and the rain we had the chance to catch a glimpse of a pod of about ten white-beaked dolphins. But only myself and a handful of passengers managed to have a too short look at the elusive animals before they disappeared. After two hours of sailing, the sea conditions and the weather finally became nice but no whales were to be seen and we headed back to Reykjavik without seeing any. Therefore we decided to give our passengers complimentary tickets so they can go for free on another tour with Elding from Reykjavik or Akureyri within the next two years. We hope they'll have better luck then!

Tour at 9:00

Report from Eldey: Sea conditions and weather were not the best this morning. However, people seemed to enjoy the sailing a lot. We had two groups of students who made the best out of the trip! It's all about the attitude. Unfortunately, we did not see any cetaceans on the morning tour  so we gave out complimentary tickets for those who wanted to get one. Those tickets are valid within 2 year so they can give it a try again!
