Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: Another blustery tour with westerly winds, for passenger comfort we decided to venture out from a different harbour to gain more shelter from the swell, using the Reykjanes coastline to do so. We sailed west hugging the coastline until we reached the small town of Garður, from there we changed course towards Reykjavik with smooth sailing, travelling with the wind and swell instead of against it. Seabirds soured past from time to time, particularly beautiful to see the northern gannets and fulmars. We search for whales and dolphins and just 45minutes left of the tour we got word from another whale watching company about a couple of dolphins they saw. They were shy dolphins as they were only seen once and disappeared again. We tried locating them again but unfortunately we could not. We gave our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope they can join us again on another whale watching tour in the next 2 years.
