Report from Eldey. The afternoons conditions were just as perfect as the mornings, with the flat sea and sun shining. It only took 30 minutes for the splashing of white-beaked dolphins to be visible in the distance. As we drew closer, birds were circling and diving in the food drawn to the surface by the dolphins. On our approach a pod of dolphins swam towards the boat, coming extremely close and giving the passengers spectacular views and impressing them with their acrobatics. It was great to see at least two mothers and calves swimming in the pod that was interacting with the boat, in the meantime feeding was occurring on al sides. After viewing these for some time, we ventured out and quickly came across two harbour porpoises that were proving to be a little difficult. Soon after we spotted a blow in the suns glare. A minke whale surfaced roughly 100m ahead of our location and performed many shallow dives and surfaces before disappearing for some time. Finally after deciding it was time to head back to the harbour, the dolphins appeared again, feeding in many locations around the vessel. It proved to be a great trip.

Report from Eldey: A beautiful day on the water today, the sun was shining and the sea conditions pretty nice. Just after about 35-40 min we saw some large flocks of birds in front of us that were obviously feeding. As we got closer we saw 20-30 white-beaked dolphins that were spread over the entire area and feeding together with the sea birds. Every now and then we saw them also leaping and jumping and even head-slapping when they were circling the fish. It was pretty cool the sea and we could spent a long time area just floating in the area and enjoying the dolphins. Just when we were about to move on, we saw a blow some hundred meters away from us and headed over there and saw a minke whale in some distance. We tried to get a bit closer and managed to see it 3 times in front of us just about 60-70 m away from us. Before heading back to the harbour, we kept searching for a while and came across many more dolphins, some of them still feeding, some traveling next to us (probably another 20-25 in total on the way back).
