Tour at 19:00

Report from Elding: It was a very nice eveing, sunny and dry. Very nice to go whale watching. It took us a bit of time before we saw our first sighting. But than two white-backed dolphins came right up to the boat. They spent some time checking us out so we got a very good look at them, so nice. On the way back we had really nice live music, what a nice eveing it was.

Report from Eldey: The wind had picked up a little by this evening when we left the harbour, so the sail out was a little cold. After circling the area we had seen animals this morning without luck we ventured further into the bay. Still without sightings we meandered back, this time in the warmth of the sunlight. Despite the lack of sightings everyone enjoyed the boat ride and were happy to accept the complimentary tickets we offered.

Report from Hafsulan: What an amazing Icelandic summer day: Sunshine and a beautiful blue sky. Although, we had great visibility today, the wildlife seen on this tour was really rare. We saw seabirds as the lovely atlantic puffins, kittiwakes, northern gannets and northern fulmars. Unfortunately there wasn´t any sign of cetaceans. That´s why we offered complementary tickets to all our passengers to give them the chance to come with us on another tour.

Report from Eldey: It was a beautiful sunny day as we set out for our tour, we were blessed with only a little wind and a fairly calm sea. The conditions were wonderful for whale watching however, it took us a very long time to find cetaceans today but eventually we were lucky enough to spot a minke whale. This animal surfaced right in front of the boat just 20 meters in front of us! This animal performed a wonderful surface sequence coming up multiple times in a row before going for a deeper dive. Unfortunately as time was running out we had to beguin to head back to harbour and as we would like our wonderful passengers see more of the wildlife Iceland has to offer complimentary tickets were given out to allow them to come back on another one of our tours for free.

Report from Hafsulan: it was a beautiful morning, sunny and the sky was blue. Very nice conditions for whale watching. It took a bit of time before spotting our first cetacean, it was a minke whale. He came up next to the boat a few times, so nice. The way back was very nice and sunny we all enjoyed it.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Eldey: The conditions are once again amazing today and I'm beginning to sound like a broken record with all of my comments about the sunshine recently. It took us a while, but we encountered a pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins. They were fantastic, approaching the boat and swimming underneath us so I'm sure everyone with a camera got amazing pictures. Our patience with the dolphins was double-rewarded though when a minke whale appeared right in front of our eyes, but unfortunately it was feeling particularly elusive and only resurfaced once before vanishing without a trace. Despite this, on our way home we basked victoriously in the warm sunlight.
