Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: The sea conditions in the afternoon carried on being excellent, very calm seas and very little wind. The sun even came out half way through the tour and warmed our skin gently. About an hour after leaving the harbour, we came accross a minke whale. It was quite small but we still had a good look at it. In the same area, a second, bigger minke whale came out and we also had an excellent sighting of it. Moreover a small group of harbour porpoises (3 to 5 individuals) were seen very briefly. So overall an excellent trip!

Tour at 9:00

Report from Eldey: It was a wonderful day to be out in Faxafloi. Calm seas, no wind and just thin clouds above us made it not only a smooth ride but also the conditions for spotting were great. We headed out around 45 minutes until we spotted one very fast moving minke whale. As we headed toward it, we actually came into an area with a total of 3 minke whales feeding there. They were so trusting, coming unusually close to the boat and staying with us for over an hours time! I am sure we could have stayed with them even longer if our schedule allowed it, but even so it was a very great tour that I hope everyone enjoyed as much as myself.
