As we sailed into the bay, many clouds lined the night sky which were not represented on the aurora forecasts. As the activity was expected to be high, it was a little disappointing. The tour began slowly, with white beams of light pulsating with intensity that hid behind the clouds, not quite exploding into the bright greens we were all hoping for. As the hours passed the clouds dissipated, revealing expansive green aurora swirls. The lights danced with pinks, purples and red easily visible. The best light show was saved until last as the sky turned almost entirely green as we sat just offshore alongside the Harpa. Incredible.
