Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: The winds were already starting to increase, the storm was on its way. We still had a nice comfortable tour as we headed south and along the Reykjanes to calmer, sheltered waters. Just in the first 20 mintures we saw a variety of seabirds and a small pod of 3-5 harbour porpoises busy feeding. They were travelling fast and so we travelled on and kept searching. Even though we were seeing a lot of fish on our fish finder, the fish was close to the seabed and no birds or cetaceans were around, not that we could spot anyway. No sightings this afternoon meant we offered our passengers a complimentary ticket to give it ago again in the next two years. A beautiful and chilly day on the bay. BRRRRRRRRR!

Report from Eldey: When we left the harbor this morning the sun was not up yet and there was only a small band of red light behind Reykjavik. The bay of Faxafloi lay peacefully in front of us. While the morning light got stronger we made our way out in the bay where we were welcomed by a long swell. Although we passed through fish-rich areas we saw only a very few seabirds here and there and unfortunately did not find any cetaceans. Thus, we offered new tickets to all our passengers to give them another chance to watch the animals for free.
