Status Tour 13:00: RUNNING
Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: A beautiful day with very little wind. The swell was high and long which can cause seasickness in some. It is always recommended to take the sea sickness tablet early (free at our ticket office) for best results. It was chilly even though little wind, so the overalls were in full use this afternoon also. It was a long time to see our first cetacean, a small pod of white-beaked dolphins 3-5 animals that were chilling out but elusive after a short while. They soon did a houdini and disappeared and unfortunately no other cetaceans were seen. Still the winter sunset and light was beautiful over the mountains. Due to the quick sightings of the dolphins, not everyone got to see them so we offered our passengers complimentary tickets to try again in the next two years.

Bird species seen on today's tour include: great cormorant, northern fulmar, great black-backed gull, eider duck, black-headed gull, common guillemot & glaucous gull
We are sailing out from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik on our Whale Watching tour at 1 pm today. The weather has slowed down but there are still some swells out on Faxabay. If you are sensitive to motion sickness we do have seasickness tablets free of charge at the ticket office.
