Tour Status: RUNNING

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: Our afternoon proved to have a delightful weather as well, with almost rising temperatures! The sun was our companion for most of the tour, and calm sea coupled with excellent visibility made for an excellent sightings of the snowy mountains surrounding us. During this tour we saw many harbour porpoises! 3 different pods, for about 30-35 individuals! On such a flat sea, it was so nice to seem them popping up out of the water, we could even stay for few minutes with one of the pods, astonishingly long for a porpoise encounter!  After that, we were given a good tip about cetacean activity in Hvalfjordur, which is not very usual. Thus we decided to do overtime ant try our luck in the fjord, to give it our all! Sadly, it was fruitless, we ended up losing our bet. We apologize for the disappointment and for the inconveniences the delay in arrival may have caused.  The porpoises were really nice, but we wanted to show to our passengers bigger animals, so we issued complimentary tickets at the end of the tour.
