Report from Eldey: Tonight we had a beautiful clear sky. As there was also very little wind, it felt almost warm being outside dressed in the provided overalls. And it was needed as we had to be quite patient this evening. We already had some faint activity in the very beginning of the tour, which was easy to pick up by the camera but not really by the naked eye. Thus, we gathered on the top deck, waited and watched the stars. And then -very slowly- the activity increased until we had a beautiful greenish arc spanning from Esja towards the sea. At some point, another smaller arc appeared just underneath the first one, ensuring great pictures with the northern lights above Esja. On our way back home, the activity increased at some spots and the shape changed here and there appearing as dancing lights. As we could still see the northern lights when we were already back in the harbor, I can say, it was definitely a tour with a slow start but a great ending.
