Tour at 1300

Report from Hafsúlan: The wind had picked up a bit as we left the harbour in the afternoon. It took us quite a while of sailing around to find the first pod of white-beaked dolphins. They were feeding like this morning and suddenly, after having surfaced a few times, they disappeared as suddenly as they had appeared. We went a bit further and after a while, a passenger spotted another pod of dolphins. This time, they were showing off more, coming closer to the boat and one even breached out of the water! On the back we spotted a minke whale and a big one too! It appeared to be feeding and came really close! Awesome end of the tour. The wind had calmed down on the way back and we enjoyed a beautilful autumn afternoon on the way back to the harbour.

Tour at 0900

Report from Hafsúlan: The sky was overcast as we sailed out on a calm bay this morning. We enjoyed a stunning visibility as we headed out and it didn't take us too long to spot the first pod of white-beaked dolphins. At first they were quite elusive and didn't seem to want to come too close but as time went by, they seemed to become curious, and some of them approached us. They must have been busy feeding as they were changing their speed and course a lot. All in all there must have been between 15 and 20 of them. We went a bit further and found another pod of dolphins before heading back to Reykjavík. Awesome tour in good weather.
