Tour at 9:00 and 13:00 : RUNNING
Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: The wind picked up in the afternoon trip, giving us a good taste of the brave Icelandic weather during winter time. We were leaving the harbour and getting us to to the boat when we spotted a nice pod of 4 harbour porpoises. They got us by surprise and, surprisingly to what we are used to from them, they stayed with us for a while, swimming around the boat and surfacing very close to us. We carried on with the trip trying to find more animals. Unfortunately, we had to wait until we were back in the harbour to see again the same pod of porpoises, just like if they were waiting for us to welcome! Even though we enjoyed these tiny cetaceans and they gave us a nice show, we offered to our passengers complimentary tickets, maybe next time whales or dolphins will be around!

Report from Eldey: Our morning tour gave us the opportunity to sail from Reykjavik to the south part of Faxafloi. The sea-state was very calm and sky was overcast, giving us the opportunity to take nice photographies of the landscapes contrasting dark waters with white mountains, a breathtaking landscape. We sailed for a while but the only visible animals were seabirds, northern fulmars were again in great numbers. Nonetheless, we couldn't find any cetaceans so we offered complimentary tickets to our passengers, so they can come back and try again.

Bird seen during our tour: northern fulmar, northern gannet, black-legged kittiwake, great cormorant, european shag, eider duck, common guillemot, black guillemot, iceland gull, glaucous gull.
We are sailing out from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today. It is quite windy today, and it is suppose to increase as the day goes on, so if you are sensitive to motion sickness we do have seasickness tablets free of charge at the ticket office. All our boats have inside and outside areas and to make the tour even more comfortable we provide warm overalls. Hope you will be able to join us on our tours today.
