Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The sea conditions were much like that of this mornings tour, calm but got rougher the further we headed offshore. We saw lots of White-beaked Dolphins on this tour probably 40+ in very scattered pods, most were feeding or being elusive but there was one that was a lot of fun as they played around the boat. Passengers got a great look at them as they turned to look up at all the happy faces. We also saw one Minke Whale twice but only the passengers at the front of the boat got to see it.  It was a nice day but hopefully it will be better tomorrow with more minkes too.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: It was beautiful mirror calm seas as we headed out into the bay this morning but it did get a little rougher the further we went. We saw bout 3 pods of White-beaked Dolphins on this tour. One that we saw through the binoculars but could not show the passengers, very elusive pod. The others were a lot more fun, leaping and bow-riding the whale watching boats in the area. We then saw a large flock of feeding gannets and you could see the schools of fish next to the boat, it was incredible watching the gannets plunge into the water from great heights and at amazing speeds. Sometimes just meters from the boats. Unfortunately there was no whales this morning but we did spot a pod of 4-6 Harbour Porpoises close to the Harbour on the way back. A nice morning to be out at sea.
