Report from Elding: In afternoon sea welcomed us with perfect conditions for sailing and spotting animals. It was perfectly flat and sky was overcast, at the end of the tour we had small rain but also amazing rainbow. It didn't take us long till we got a call that other boat saw something. It was humpback whale and it was incredible animal: very curious and active. Whale was often coming very close to our boat, surfacing with loud blow, showing tail and going for short dives. It was just making circles around our vessel! Few times also raised head a little bit above water surface, probably was feeding. We could spend all day there but we decided to leave this whale in peace. Not far later our passengers spotted dolphins. Big pod, of around 20 or more, white-beaked dolphins seemed to be resting as animals were surfacing slowly. Some of the showed interest in us and came very close. When we run out of the time we start our way home where saw some more animals: first we stopped for short encounter with minke whale and closer to the city pod of 4 harbour porpoises. It was a great tour already but for our massive surprise just 15 min away from the dock we found 2 humpbacks! Animals were surfacing almost synchronized, traveling in same direction and rising their tails together. It was just incredible and perfect end of the tour.

Report from Elding: With the cloudy sky and good visibility we sailed out from the Old Harbour of Reykjavik to find us some cetaceans. We sailed about 12 nm away from the harbour before we saw something else then northern fulmars and atlantic puffins that were making our voyage more pleasant. We spotted 2 fully grown adult minke whales raising from the water surface. These gentle giants were quite relaxed and treated us with some very close encounters, at the delight of all the crew and the passengers. We had more than 5 northern gannets skydiving for fish above the whale, so it was not only spectacular to see them show us their acrobatics, but they were helping us to find the shy cetacean. All said and done it was a very good tour with lots of smiling faces stepping on the dock in the harbour.
