Report from Eldey: Weather conditions changed drastically in our evening tour. We faced fierce winds and rain from half of the tour but suddenly everything changed for better. The sun started to shine and we had clear skies with a smooth sailing experience. Nonetheless, we were there to find some cetaceans and we did. Two beautiful humpback whales came across to our boat. They surfaced very close and we were delighted with their magnificent. The way back home was incredibly beautiful with awesome landscape of Reykjavik and the surrounding area.

Report from Eldey: We sailed out from Reykjavik under beautiful conditions with nearly flat sea. After about half an hour of sailing, we had our first encounter with cetaceans when a pod of about seven white-beaked dolphins started surfacing frequently around the boat! The pod was traveling and feeding. We stayed with them for a while before spotting a humpback whale! We made our way over to the humpback and saw it surface several times very close to the boat. We stayed a while with the humpback, before heading back to the harbour. On our way back, we encountered another pod of white-beaked dolphin and some of us even caught a glimpse of two minke whale surfacing about 100 meters from the boat. Overall a really enjoyable tour with an incredible chance to observe the humpback and white-beaked dolphins, under mostly beautiful weather!

Report from Eldey: After only a few minutes of sailing out from Reykjavik, we saw the first pod of white beaked dolphins. A great beginning to a incredible tour! The weather was consistent the whole trip, with sunshine and very little wind. In the horizon we spotted a big flock of birds and saw big blows under the birds. It was 3 humpback whales! We slowly approached the humpback whales, being accompanied by several minke whales and two pods of white beaked dolphins. The humpback whales really gave quite the show, feeding together all three and coming close to the boat. An amazing whale experience on this trip!
