Report from Eldey: Clouds went away and we were sailing under blue sky through flat sea surrounded by outstanding landscape. Air was so clear that our visibility was reaching Snaefellsjokull mountain and following our intuition we were sailing in that direction. It was a long ride and not much was going on till some big flocks of birds appeared on the horizon and then we saw a blow. It was a minke whale. First individual surfaced in the distance in front when second came up on our side and a pod of 6-8 white-beaked dolphins on the other. Soon we found our selves surrounded by wildlife and it was hard to decide in which direction to look. In total we had 4 or maybe more minke whales swimming around, some of them very close to us, surprising us with their loud blows. After good time with whales we decided to give some attention to dolphins and we noticed again our good friend Skywalker between them and a tiny cute calf. What a day!

Report from Eldey: What a beautiful morning we have had today. Firstly, the sun was coming in between the clouds creating extraordinary reflections in the sky. Secondly, the mountains around Faxafloi were covered with a layer of snow that made look like cakes. And thirdly, wildlife! We searched for a while until we came across a big flock of birds to discover that among them there were at least 6-8 white-beaked dolphins actively feeding. They were very curious about us so they were checking us constantly and we could even see a mother-calf couple swimming together. This group was so characteristic that we identified one of their individuals, in this case was "Skywalker", a well-known dolphin as it has been with us every year since 2008, what a discovery! The way back was fantastic and we enjoyed incredible views of Kollafjordur.
