Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: Another perfect tour with incredible sea conditions and plenty of animals around. We didn't´t have time to "fasten our seat belts" when a huge pod of white-beaked dolphins appeared near the lighthouse of Grotta. There were around 15-20 individuals which were socializing, playing, leaping, jumping, surfacing in synchrony and delighting us with their beautiful movements around the boat. Once we had enough of them, we sailed out to discover the wonders of Faxafloi. Lot of seabirds were discovered including the rare sooty shearwaters, but the one that surprised us was a minke whale. It was a very predictable animal as it was surfacing in very defined sequence of 2 breaths+3-4 minutes dives. We followed it in the distance and we were blessed with its powerful blow. The way back couldn't´t have been better with amazing views of Reykjavik.

Tour at 9:00

Report from Eldey: It was a perfect morning out on the sea. We left morning rush behind and sail into tranquility of the nature. Sun was just rising and we had this lovely scenery when landscape is painted with pink light. Surface was flat and we had vast visibility. After checking our standard area we followed a call from other boat and by Reykjanes peninsula we found a minke whale. It was nice, relaxed animal swimming almost in circles around boat. We spend there some good time and later continued our search. At the end of a trip we saw 3 harbour porpoises but they were shy so only few of us got to take a look at them. Last minutes on the boat we spent taking a look and rich bird life by the Reykjavik shore. We love Mondays.
