Report from Eldey: Sailing out on today's tour didn't feel like January at all. Sun was shining on our faces and there was as good as no wind. We did still have that swell from the last days however, making it a proper boat ride on the Atlantic ocean. But again, we didn't have to go very far to find our wonderful humpback whale for the 7th day in a row now! It seems to have taking not only a liking in the Kollafjöður area, but also in us. This might be just me interpreting a bit to much of this whales behaviour, but it seemed to be doing a big loop just to see if we would follow it or not. It headed west, surfacing for breaths very close to us over and over and over before suddenly appearing on the other side of our boat, turning around and heading back to the same spot where we first saw it. It really felt a bit like it was playing with us. And while it didn't lift it's beautiful fluke for us today, it came so close that we could hear it's powerful exhale, a sound that just gives you the sensation of being so so close to it. Just as the clouds started pulling together, we said goodbye to this humpback whale for another day. Hope we see you tomorrow!
