Report from Eldey: LOKSINS! Icelandic word meaning ´FINALLY!´ we were able to get out in the bay after a few days of bad weather. It snowed here and there throughout the tour, such an amazing thing to see with blue skies above your head but watch the snow fall over land and sea in the distance. The swell was tricky still, causing a few green faces but it got better as the tour went on. On our search today we got to see two elusive pods of harbour porpoises (2-3 in each), only few passengers saw these speedy little guys. It was the white-beaked dolphins that thrilled us all, two pods, one with 3-4 individuals but the other, which we spent the most time with, a pod of at least 10, calves, juveniles and their adult carers huddled up in a tight pod, travelling slowly and constantly changing direction and sometimes very close to us. We spent about 30 minutes with them before leaving them in peace and heading home. We surfed on the swell home with the sun on our face, a wonderful tour.
