Report from Eldey: In supposed to be another good whale watching trip as we knew that humpback whales are still around. First humpback was found close to the shore, 20min after leaving harbour. It was rather elusive individual, as we decided to keep going suddenly it raised his flippers and slap water with it's tail. Beside that this whale was still going for long dives so we leave it. Then a minke whale came across our way! In distance we saw bigger blows and as we were heading there another humpback whale breached. Once we got there we found another long diving animal but this one at least showed his tail. Not far away from there birds were flocking and we saw more splashes and blows. It was a nature-lover heaven, with northern gannets plunge diving from the sky and 3 humpbacks feeding on surface! Our captain turned off the engines and we were just watching and enjoying in silence. As we were stationary, the fish that was being chased by all those animals decided to hide under our boat and the whales came for it! It was just absolutely amazing! Lunge feeding humpbacks touching our boat and splashing us with vapor coming from their blows! I have never seen anything like this! Just WOW!

Report from Eldey: Whoever came with us and decided to spend the morning at sea could not have chosen a better plan to start the day! We head off the harbour under some light rain that stopped soon after. The ride was quite comfortable as the sea was calm. We were around the area where we most frequently sight our cetaceans when we found our first humpback whale! We encountered 3 more after that through distinct sightings. On each encounter we were able to enjoy the whales for quite some time, close to our vessel, as they were mostly foraging. One of them was even playful when it astonished us with some aerial behaviour! Needless to say all our passenger were quite impressed with such an amazing ride.
