Report from Eldey; The winds had calmed down quite a bit and we were able to enjoy the sun even better. We sailed a little around the area where we saw the whale this morning, but unfortunately we did not find it again. We continued sailing close to shore, where we had a bit of a shelter from the wind and ended up spotting a pod of about 3-5 white-beaked dolphins! We saw them surfacing a few times but vanishing again soon after. We continued on our tour and searched for more animals, but then we ran out of time and had to go back. We decided that since we had such a short time with the dolphins, that we would give our passengers an opportunity to come back for another tour for free.

Report from Eldey: Northeasterly winds meant blue skies but chilly conditions. The overalls and warm saloons were in use on this sunny cold afternoon sea adventure. The scenery was stunning and amazing to see the birds swoop over the aqua white crested ocean. We sailed to our best whale spotting areas, looked promising with a few flocks of active birds, however not a black back or a blow to be seen. We did our best to find whales for the passengers this afternoon but alas they just did not want to be found. The challange and unpredictability of wildlife tours, making it even more special when they show themselves and even more so when we can follow them for a while without disturbing them. We offered our passengers complimentary ticket and hopefully they will have more success on the next time around. Lets hope for a more productive tomorrow.

Report from Elding: We had some pretty strong, cold winds from the north today but the bay was still so beautiful. It was just breathtaking with the sun shining and barely a single cloud in the sky. We got such a great view of the amazing landscape. When we had been sailing for about 20 minutes, we got notified that there was a whale in the harbour! So we turned back in hopes of seeing it, a humpback whale! It surfaced a few times but it was always surfacing far away, obviously a grumpie humpie. In the end we left it in peace and headed further out. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see another whale before we ran out of time, so we offered our lovely passengers an opportunity to come back on another tour with us for free. But even though we didn't see many whales today, we still enjoyed the ride on this beautiful day!
