Report from Eldey: The sea looked really calm. The first half an hour it was just like a mirror. We could even see the jelly fish under the sea surface. Once we were further out, we could feel the movement of the sea but, luckily, most of the passengers were outside so nobody got seasick. During the whole trip, different pods of harbour porpoises were surfacing everywhere. At least 5 or 6 pods appeared during the tour. It took us a while to find a minke whale but we did. We saw it in the distance and we could approach it and enjoy it for a little while until it decided to go for a really long dive and it was time for us to go home. Even under the rain, we enjoy a nice tour.

Report from Eldey: We sailed out again today with the total overcast situation and the sea moving in continuity. We looked far and for a long time, we experienced light rain, the cold wind and a bit of a foggy situation. We saw around 20 harbour porpoises on this tour throughout the tour. However, we didn't see any other cetaceans on this tour so we decided to give out complementary tickets to our guests in hopes they will come again for free and try their luck on a different tour.

Report from Eldey: The sea looked really calm this morning and the wind was quite soft, although the swell was big so the boat was rocking quite a lot so we had a few green faces on board. We were lucky to encounter the first minke whale not long time after leaving the harbour, but this shy animal decided to don't show up again. We continued our heading and it took us a while to encounter another minke whale with the same behaviour and even a third one. We were waiting, trying to give this animals the time to show up again but it never happened. Unfortunately, we couldn't have a good sighting this trip. Thus, we offered our passengers the opportunity to come back free of charge within the next two years.

We are sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík today. If you are prone to getting sea sick, we do have sea sickness tablets available free of charge at the office and on board.
