 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 17:00

Report from Eldey: The sea conditions were better then before, but the sun hid a bit on this tour. This didn't matter because we had a minke whale extravaganza on this tour, with them surfacing in every possible direction, just two nautical miles away from the harbour. I would say that we had encountered roughly 10 individuals, but there were even more in the broader area. We saw some magnificent behaviour like the minke whale turning on its back and showing its ventral side and showing the fluke, something that we very very seldom see with this species. We also saw a pod of 10 white-beaked dolphins that were leaping out of the water in the sun glare. Phenomenal tour that really makes it impossible to not be impressed by the beauty of nature.

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 13:00

Report from Eldey: The day looked just beautiful. We left the harbour with high hopes and the smile we had at beginning of the trip was tripled in the end. It was such an special trip! Right after leaving the harbour we spotted out first 2 minke whales! And I say 2 because we got to see 10 of them! Some of them surfacing just next to us and giving us a feeding show. Not happy with this, a pod of 5 white-beaked dolphins travelling calmly around the bay. We left them when we realised they were not in the whale watching mood and we continued we more sightings of minke whales and, at least, 10 pods of harbour porpoises. For the first time of my life, I saw the harbour porpoises playing with our boat! What a great moment. Overall, the tour was great!

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 9:00

Report from Eldey: We sailed out today with the beautiful weather, sunny skies and a bit of a wavy situation, extra long two meter waves. But this didn't stop us from having a great time with the minke whales. We sailed out for about half an hour when we saw our first minke whale. It was a young, curious individual and we had quite a good look at it. We continued to our promising area and boy did we have a blast. Dozens of northern gannets feeding around us indicated its a food rich spot. Minke whales were all around us and there must have been six of them in total on this tour, coming as close to us as 20 meters away at times. Fantastic tour.
