Report from Eldey: The weather was better than during the previous tour, we had a bit of sun and the wind was cold only during the way back. We had some difficulties to find the whales but our patience payed. At the beginning we were a really few to quickly see a pod of harbour porpoises that disappeared as usual. We needed half of the tour to find our first minke whale. We had a good sight on this animal even if it was not long. We also crossed a huge flock of northern fulmars mastering the winds like any other bird. When we were watching this first minke whale we saw a blow one mile further. When our shy minke didn't surface again around us, we decide to follow that lead to find another individual. It was a good idea because after a few minutes we saw a minke whale surfacing close of the boat with the sunset behind. During the way back we saw splashes made by jumping white-beaked dolphins. There were 4 or 5 individuals that we saw swimming sometimes close of us. Great animals, great tour.

Report from Eldey : We had a noticeable wind coming from the South-East that we barely felt on the way out, but for sure felt as we were going back. The scenery was quite breathing, with rainbows, fast moving clouds and incredible lighting all around. We were successful on this tour when it comes to cetaceans. Three pods of white-beaked dolphins, in three different locations and more less three different types of behaviour. The first pod was quite elusive and difficult to observe, the second one was more curious about us and the third one was the more inquisitive one. We saw dolphins, jump and leap out of the water as well as them coming co close to the boat that at a few moments we had to look down from the railing to be able to see them passing under us. We were dolfinitely happy with this tour.

Report from Eldey: This morning the weather was quite good. The sun was trying to pierce the clouds sometimes, the sky being mostly clouded. The sea was calm enough to be comfortable, even if sometimes, with the waves on the side it was a bit rocky. We went out on Faxafloi bay full of hope, like every morning. We needed one hour to find something, It's actually a passenger who made the first sight. It was a minke whale that we could see only two times before it disappeared. The cetaceans that we see are free animals living in their natural environement.That means they behave differently,sometimes they are friendly and easy to watch, sometimes they are shy and challenging to follow. We had great northern gannets flying really close when we were looking for this tricky minke whale. A few minutes after this first sighting we found 4-5 white-beaked dolphins.They were friendly and jumping, swimming fast under birds that were probably trying to catch the same fish. We had a nice show during this morning tour.
