Report from Eldey: What an incredible night! Clear skies with countless stars shining and next to no wind. Only five minutes into the tour, we already saw a light patch forming in the sky: Northern lights were starting ! From there they got brighter very fast and formed a double arch of green lights! The cruise was off to an amazing start. The lights stayed bright for a long time, and after 1,5 hours they faded out almost completely. We were already so happy about what we had seen, when suddenly the sky was lit up again out of nowhere. And this time it was simply breath-taking: a double arch, circles, patches, dancing ribbon-like lights with not only green colors but also red hues that we could easily see with the naked eye. The forecast had been good for tonight to begin with, but we were definitely surprised by the show that the northern lights put up for us tonight. Again, this goes to show that nature is never 100% predictable and can turn out to be even better than expected !
