Report from Elding: Winds had picked up and we had more longer waves, but that often makes whales and dolphins jump more. And what did we have? Not one, but plenty of breachs from 2 humpback whales!!! The first one caught us by surprise and actually started of our tour. Later, we finished our tour with another humpback whale that we saw breeching from the distance, tail slapping and pectoral slapping. As we got close, it stopped, went for a dive and - jumped out of the water right in front of us!!!! Wow is the only word that comes to mind.

Report from Elding: The days just keep amazing us!! Summer weather that is so unlike Iceland that not only crew and passengers are enjoying but appartenly also the whales. They had moved a ilttle further West than the last days, but otherwise were just as happy and livey and even more curious, leading to 3 humpback whales swimming to the bow of the boat and checking us out from no more than 3 meters away!! It was just crazy, everyone was laughing and smiling. Another 3 humpback whales were in the area around us, also a minke whale gave us a great surface sequence to see it and lastly a pod of 6 white-beaked dolphins came to say hello and play around our boat. The only thing we did not like about this tour? Having to go back to land.
