CLASSIC WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE |  09:00

Report from Elding : We started the day under a beautiful sunshine. It was very warm in the harbour but a bit more windy outside in the sea. The swell was very high so it was rocky on the boat. Our passengers had the viking experience ! We first went where humpback whales were seen in previous tours but we could not spot anything. We went more south when the captain saw something. He manoeuvered very well and we could had one magical sighting of a minke whale. It was only a dozen of seconds but wonderful to observe this whale calmly surfacing, stay very close to the surface, surface again and disappear. We enjoyed the way back to Reykjavik relaxing in the sun.

✔ CLASSIC WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 13:00

Report from Elding :  It was even sunnier and warmer than this morning. The swell was calming down as well as the wind. We went directly to the south but we could not find the minke whale. We went more to the north of the bay and find a lot of bird activity. We were patrolling in the area when many, maybe 8 white-beaked dolphins, started jumping further away. The time we approached, the dolphins were suddenly very calm and spreading. We could not see them from close and no sign of a whale during this tour, so we gave a complimentary ticket to our passengers.
