CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We had a winter wonderland landscape surrounding us with a great visibility throughout the tour. We searched long and wide and a blow could be seen at the distance. We slowed down and could see an amazingly small humpback whale! We were waiting it to pop up again but unfortunately we didn't see it again. So we decided to continue sailing, and pretty soon we encountered a group of 4 white-beaked dolphins. While we were waiting to see them again surfacing on the water suddenly a minke whale was in front of us! Nor the white-beaked dolphins and the minke where were easy to follow. On our way back to the harbour we were delighted by the presence of another minke whale that was swimming pretty fast. We enjoyed our trip untheless we considered that the animals were surfacing very fast, so we offered all our passengers complementary tickets to come back again at their convenience.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: The afternoon was a real icelandic adventure! The sea was really a challenge but our passengers had proper sea legs, and lived up to the challenge! One very nice minke whale appeared in our pace, it seemt as it was doing a race with our boat! Minke whales can swim quite fast and can achieve up to 40 kph (25 mph) in short bursts. They have considerable endurance and can maintain speeds of 15–30 kph (9-19 mph) for up to an hour. Shortly after, the captain sighted a blow at the distance and an amazingly elegant humpback whale delighted us with its presence. It was a nice time we had with this whale, but it was time to return to the harbour and we left the whale alone and came back, full of beautiful memories for sure.
