NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 22:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed out on one of the calmest, clearest nights in a long time. Stars were bright and there were many, even a few that shoot across the skies. We watched the moon rise over Mt. Esja and the bioluminescent krill in the disturbed waters created by out propellors. We were patient but tonight 1 out of the 3 necessary requirements of seeing northern lights was not happening, the activity. The sky was dark and the sky was clear but unfortunately no activity. At the end of the tour we were seeing very very faint green in the camera but nothing that could be seen with the naked eye. We gave it a few more minutes though but eventually we had to head home. We offered our passengers complimentary tickets to try their luck another night but for many of these poor passengers this was their last chance. I really hope they come back to the beautiful land of Iceland to try their luck again.
